In the above two-area system, a total of five generators and five step-down transformers were implemented into the system. These two areas are interconnected by a tie-line between busbar 8 and busbar 10. Using the Load Flow Analysis where Area 1 exports 400MW to Area 2, the parameters of the five generators and other relevant parameters were calculated as shown.

• G1, G2 and G3 are conventional steam generators generating three conventional steam units.
• G4 is a gas generator generating one gas turbine.
• G5 is a steam generator generating one steam turbine.
